@The Green Reaper what i mean is if the caldera goes with the expected blast it could set off vesuvius and its pockets that formed and that whole area could disappear in a matter of minutes!

    • The Green Reaper
      The Green Reaper 16 दिन पहले

Not the Vesuvius! That's 'only' a large, active volcano on the east of Naples. It has the potency to reach VEI-6 even, like the 'explosion of the former Somma volcano'; the 'foot' on which Vesuvius is now shaped. The monster on the other side of Naples; the Caldera of the Campi Flegrei! A complex of 24 craters that have erupted several times in the past at VEI-6 and VEI-7. Yet this 'relatively small, yet powerful' caldera, does have the potency to reach the apocalyptic stage of VEI-8. Many factors count along to reach that. Its mostl likely that Campi Flegrei would erupt into category 6 or 7, then 8 though. But its not ruled out!

In 2010, Mt Merapi of Java Indonesia erupted and its hot materials and pyroclastic clouds reach approximately 20km of it's crater. Many have lost their belongings and life.
My house is only 18km from it's crater but luckily, it's not in the eruption path it is located on the other side. I remember it was 12 am. Everything was rumbling and shaking. The tremor did not stop until dawn. It was one of the scariest nights of my life.
Fyi. We've got earthquakes and tsunami as well.

I am from Portland OR. I was there from the start . It went off in 1980 not in 1960 . It let us know it was coming for months before it went off. Five of us climbed it to the top and then had lunch at Goat Head which is the point that Mt St Helen's went off. There was a lot of things told in this Video that are not right. Most of the people that lost there lives were told to get out, but would not go. One was Mr Truman, he told us that he and the Mountain had a deal and it would not go off on him. { well bad deal } You need to do more research before you make this kind of video.

    • The Green Reaper
      The Green Reaper 16 दिन पहले

@Eriberto Acedo If Yellowstone really erupts, the entire northern hemisphere will suffer the consequenses in the first two weeks already! Hundreds of cubic kilometers of ash and pumice will fume out of the Valley, going atmospheric. Yellowstone is an 'Armageddon-Volcano'. It has the potency to wipe out 90% of the human race with a VEI-8 eruption! THe US will 'suffer the biggest damage', due to the intial eruption and the thickest ashlayers, yet, the ashplume will spread across the entire northern hemisphere. Southeast Asia will still receive a few centimeters of ashfall from a Yellowstone-VEI-8. and after a week or two, it'd will have traveled across the globe, to reach back to the Eastcoast; Washington DC and New York

Some volcano's are dormant for eons! yet the soil around it, is thé most fertile ground to grow vegetation upon! Farmers get 'the biggest potatoes and crops' on volcanic soil as its incredibly rich in minerals! So there is a logic in it! Agricultural advances of volcanic soil is just too good!
There áre some volcano's in the world that are too active, and should indeed be kept clear of! I think the most recent example is the 2018 Kilauea eruption! This 4-month 'lava festival' didnt only create about 28 fissures across the 'crack of the Hilina Slump', it buried most of the Leilani estates, and at points, over 9 million liters of lava, poured into the ocean. Creating tonnes and tonnes of Chloric, Sulphuric, and nitrogen-acids to go atmospheric! I'd agree that some parts of Hawaii for example, should indeed be permanently closed off, because of this! Yet, technology is advanced nowadays, and institutes like the USGS are even cooperating with the highly advanced NASA nowadays, along volcanic specialist teams across the globe to combine their knowledge, and monitoring-capability's to make better predictions of when a volcano would potentially erupt!
Atm there's the prediction around Naples: The ground of Pozzouli, the harbor-town of Naples, has risen over 4 meters, sicne the 1950s, due to increased activity of the magma-chamber of the Campi Flegrei supervolcano! Though a bit smaller then the more common supervolcano's: Toba, Yellowstone, or Taupo, this supervolcano lies underneath a véry densly populated area: Naples alone counts over 3 million residents!
Scientists believe between 2018 and 2022, either the Vesuvius will erupt heavily; potential VEI 5, or maybe even 6(and thats the lucky scenario!), or....

...the Campi Flegrei itself will tear open the earth, and over 40 cubic kilometers of potential-eruptable magma, may surface and trigger a world-disaster, not seen since 1815.. or even longer ago(due to the much higher population nowadays, even a 'light' VEI-6 of the Campi Flegrei would cause a disaster, comparable to the 1257 Mt Samalas-eruption(now called Rinjani), or...even the last Yellowstone-eruption!)
Though it hasent occured in history yét, Campi Flegrei cán reach the Supereruption-scale of VEI-8. In the past, it have been 'mere' VEI-6 and 7s'... 'only'.. though eruptions of such immense magnitude are already a huge catastrophe for not only Italy and all of Europe and Africa, the fallout of such an eruption would cause global cooling, along hazardous climate-changes, as described in the wikipedia-article of 'The Year without Summer'(1816, the aftermath of the mega-eruption of Mt Tambora, western Indonesia!).
So yeah... Knowing that below the west of Naples, lies a monster that would make 'Satan himself, sh*t his pants!"..... still over 3M ppl live in Naples! Campi Flegrei's last eruption was over 500 years ago. Yet.. its building up again! The most direct example of the Caldera's activity can be proven by the Roman ruin in the harborplace of Pozzouli: The pillars, that are now elevated several meters above sea-level, have salt-lines in them: Salt-lines from the SEA-water!---> That ruin has been submerged below sealevel, between the times of the Roman Emprire ~2000 years ago, and now! Also an air-photo of the area, quickly shows, how large the Campi Flegrei is; Its a complex of over 24 craters, of which the most recently formed; Monte Nuovo, is one of the largest! Monte Nuovo is densly forested with vegetation, wildgrowth etc, simply because the soil is incredibly fertile!
IT could take another 50-100 years before Campi Flegrei does erupt, it could also 'blow off its lid, tomorrow"... A few chain-quakes(Harmonic tremors) could crack the wróng basalt-layer, causing this type of magma to contact that type, or even worse, crack towards the surface so atmospheric Oxygen and Carbon reach the magmachamber, which will trigger.....
... heh.. well not even thé biggest nuclear Bomb in the world would come close to what it would trigger....

@nanana nana Not only crops, think of wine! Red wine! Italian one!
I live in Germany, so I wanted to visit Mount Stromboli once, but when I got there by boat, they just drove us around the island, saying that the volcano currently is too active to climb it. So all I got from what was supposed to be an adventurous weekend trip are two flight tickets and a huge restaurant bill in Italian. Remember the red wine? Yea, exactly.

Tell that to the Tambora! How else do you explain a 4300m high volcano-summit, 'transforms' into a 2800m high crater, that is 1km deep and 6km in diameter!......
Indeed a supermassive EXPLOSION! Scientists have calculated a bottom-value that it would take atleast 33.500 Megatons of TNT to blow up a mountaintop of that size!....
      ....
      ..
      .
In a pale comparisin: the Nukes that were dropped on Japan in 1945, were around 15 KILO-tons....The russian Tzar Bomba(biggest nuke, éver detonated!) yielded 56 Megatons....
It comes nowwhere NEAR the explosive power of a Volcano!
Magmatic composites are comparable to a very volatile chemistry box... only you dont mis this and that substance... no, you take the entire box, and shake it like a bad Mo-fo... 'see what happens'--> Everything reacts! and many substances have a very agressive; Explosive reaction when they contact the vast amounts of Carbondioxide(which makes up 80% of our atmosphere) when it reaches the surface: Carbon and Oxygen are thé two greatest reagents on the chemistry table!
Ever heard of a Backdraft in a fire? You open the door of a burning room and a giant Fireball comes right at you?... now.. increase that in size of a factor of....
~One Million.....Thats what happens when eruptable magma, reaches the surface!

I just hope that Mount Shasta doesn't erupt anytime soon because if it did, the lunatic-in-chief would declare that he knew more about volcanos than any Vulcanologist and then go to the volcano to deport it if it didn't have a visa.

Um... I don't think that eruption that you talked about at the end is a 7 on the VEI. Mt Tambora's eruption in April of 1815 is a 7. Supervolcanos, such as that on in Italy or in Yellowstone, have the potential to be an 8, which is a Super Eruption.

Climate change activists need to take due notice of the effects of volcanic eruptions on climate change and realize the target of their anger is not within the control or domain of man. We are at the mercy of natures forces and physics well outside our understanding.

Yeah but then they couldn't tax people. Climate change is a scam. I wish I created it I would be rich.
